My name is Stephanie Stewart and I practice Feng Shui using Traditional Chinese methods. I’ve been studying and practicing Feng Shui since 2002. My services include Feng Shui, BaZi, Divination and Date Selection.
I grew up mostly in small towns in Arizona. I attended Bryn Mawr College near Philadelphia, majoring in Classical Studies with a concentration in Ancient Philosophy. At that time, there were still departments just for Greek and Latin. Imagine that. After I graduated I moved back to Arizona for about a year. I moved to Seattle in the late 80s.
After college I worked at several different academic libraries, usually behind the scenes. I also worked at the legendary Gravity Bar on Capitol Hill in Seattle where I met my husband. Salad days. I left work to start a family with my husband, we bought our first house, and that is where I planted my first garden in 1995.
After my children had grown out of the toddler stage I happened to attend a Feng Shui class at a local plant nursery. That is when I found the intersection of my interests and talents and became a life long student of Chinese Metaphysics.
Now, the “kids” are young adults and I am doing my work full time. It’s an exciting time for me. Business continues to pick up. I love what I do!
I began my studies of Feng Shui with the BTB or Black Hat School (sometimes called Western Feng Shui), but after a couple of years I began to study traditional Chinese Feng Shui, and that’s the method I employ now. In my practice, I stick to first principles of yin/yang and Wu Xing. I’m a diviner using ancient algorithms to help people do the right thing, at the right time, in the right place.
Over the years I have studied with Chinese, European and Western Masters including Richard Ashworth, Lily Chung, Raymond Lo, Ken Lai, Eduardo Hess, Sonia Chong, and Bernice Low. I continue to attend multiple classes to deepen my knowledge and practice each year. I have a special interest in Chinese characters and I strive to include as many of them as possible in my course materials.
I published my first book, A Student’s Key to the Hsia Calendar, in 2021. I will be teaching Foundations of BaZi in 2022 for the first time.
In addition to my Feng Shui business I am an avid reader and a writer. Book recommendations are always welcome! As you may already know I write the Serious Dailies each month, along with my newsletter. I publish forecasts in the form of Animal Fortunes each month. Look for my Annual Animal Fortunes in January of each year.
