The Wood Snake 2025 Wall Calendar is a regular Gregorian style calendar with the Heavenly Stem and Earthly Branch for each day. By observing events and feelings of a day, along with the Heavenly Stem and Earthly Branch you can explore the symbol rich art and science of Chinese Astrology. It’s easier than you think. By following the calendar you will learn that each Pillar has a certain flavor or nuance to it.

Ba Zi or Chinese Astrology

Each person has Four Pillars that make up their natal chart: Year, Month, Day and Hour. The system of Chinese Astrology that studies fate and forecasting based on your birthday is called 八字 BaZi or 8 Characters.

If you’re wanting to learn more about BaZi, Feng Shui or Date Selection, the Heavenly Stems and Earthly Branches are the place to begin.

There are 10 Heavenly Stems and 12 Earthly Branches that form 60 possible combinations that are called Pillars. Each day has a pillar. They repeat in a continuous cycle of 60. The 12 Earthly Branches are also known as the Chinese Zodiac or Animal Branches.
