Foundations of Ba Zi

Foundations of Ba Zi is a class for those who want to explore Chinese astrology, divination, time, timing and decision making. By the end of the series you’ll have all the information you need to read the Chinese calendar, and draft and analyze a ba zi with its ten year luck cycles.

While the course will focus on Chinese astrology by way of drafting and reading the ba zi, at the same time it will provide all the building blocks you need to pursue any of the Five Arts of Chinese Metaphysics. Course Description

Foundations of Ba Zi is be taught in four quarters. Each quarter consists of five weekly one hour classes for a total of 20 class hours. If weekly meetings don’t work for you, you can go at your own pace. I offer email support outside of class hours. You can also ask questions about topics we’ve already covered during any of your one hour lessons.

All students will receive a copy of my book A Student’s Key to the Hsia Calendar. A reading list will be provided along with other class materials.

You bring the birth dates for the natal charts we will draft and analyze.

Pre-requisite
Learn to recognize, write and name the Chinese characters for the 10 Heavenly Stems & 12 Earthly Branches. That’s 22 characters. It’s much easier than you might think. Follow the links for instructions.
