Any Element or Earthly Branch can carry with it things we want, and things we would rather not experience. Most often in our lives, we have good and bad things happening at the same time. Sometimes one outweighs the other if you know what I mean.
Everyone knows that life can be hard sometimes, and if there is a Penalty, Punishment, Harm or Destruction in a Ba Zi sometimes it can help us understand more about what is happening. More importantly, by understanding these difficult dynamics, we will be able to come up with some (un)common sense solutions that go beyond avoiding trouble.
These terms of Penalty, Punishment, Harm, Destruction sound scarier than they are. Most of the time these penalties and such are psychological and you can take a healing approach. Otherwise, what would be the point of identifying them?
