You may feel compelled or controlled by circumstance. Careful with stubbornness around letting go. Being lucky doesn’t always mean easy, and this month opportunities abound – especially for Metal Sheep.

Good news! If your shape got shifted a little too much last month, this month favors refining the form you’re looking for. You have more support for your agency than usual. You are the boss of you!
Hint: Focus your attention on what you want. Do it, then do more of it. Don’t overdo it.

酉 Rooster

The Horse is here to give you that melting feeling again. If you fell in love now, what if it meant that you’re starting from a place of power equity? I think you would like that.
Hint: Do you need one? Horses are pretty obvious.

Not much changes for the Dog this month, other than you may realize how much you are important for the success of others, how you can move them forward, and how their success supports/protects you.
Hint: Stand down a little and rediscover the joy of being on a like-minded team.

Looks like there are brief opportunities to make money for the Pig. If you’re prone to anxiety, remember that disaster is unlikely to mark you this month. Lucky.
Hint: Have a plan but spontaneity is going to happen anyway; your success.

子 Rat

Birth Month: December roughly.
It’s your turn to be clashed which for the Rat simply means drying up a little. That might be okay with you. If it’s too hot and/or you feel depleted, go to the Water.
Hint: Careful with decision making around the summer solstice when your mind could be cloudy.

丑 Ox

Birth Month: January roughly.
Maybe you’re sensing that a blockage is coming? The pillar where you have the Ox will indicate what this could be about. Who is close to you that is being clashed now? This blockage may be related.
Hint: Make a pre-emptive strike on potential problems that come next month. Maybe all you can do is plan.

寅 Tiger

Wins come naturally this month when you express yourself. You can do this on behalf of yourself or others. Aggression is fine, but being mean is not really you is it?

Revisiting a breakup from March? This could be literal if the person is showing up in your life again. This year it’s probably more than thoughts.

Time to make some alliances, again. Try it, I think you will like it. That’s what you’ll do if you want to continue being invited to the table. You have the power to focus the qi this month.

Month: October roughly.
Opportunities in general and opportunities for alliance come and go quickly this month. Be ready to show up when scheduled or miss out. Start things.
Hint: If possible, avoid tapping into your storage of resources (including money) for now.

Month: November roughly.
There’s some business from 2025 that claims to be unfinished. An accusation? You could reject that energy or you could let yourself accept a little more change when the emotion comes.
Hint: If all else fails, pursue unseriousness and festivities.

Month: December roughly.
Building up to peak clash means things feel uncertain, maybe more so than usual. Plan and prepare. Change your position if you want a new perspective. Pray.
Hint: Take apart old belief systems as needed. What is no longer true for you?

丑 Ox

Month: January roughly.
With the Snake present you get some of the best rewards. With the Horse present, this may come in the form of relief rather than gain.
Hint: It’s all about family and relationships this month. If you can’t say anything nice…you know the rest.

Month: February roughly.
Acceptance is what provides the chance to get the reward without the penalty. Careful of turning your flame on others except as a petition. Keep your mind open to the unexpected – in a good way.
Hint: You don’t have to take. If you ask it will be given.

Month: March roughly.
Do people even know what you do when you’re not taking care of others? Do you? Show off creations, make invitations, organize events. Opportunities are brief.

Share the news about whatever you’ve been working on. How are your PR materials? Focus on what is accomplished already. It’s not the time to start new things.

Playing with Fire (Horse)

What Goes Up

I was studying the Fire Horse year chart again the other day in preparation for the CLASH! Course and I was reminded how the clash of Fire and Water relates to democracy.* That conflict defines the USA. We’ve seen this theme become more obvious since 2016 at least. It’s time to level the playing field.

Taking this idea further, I saw that there’s a time period where “we the people” of the United States can have maximum impact on our destiny this year. It’s not here yet, but it’s close. It’s giving summer 2020 (as the kids say) with a better chance for lasting results. That’s a real possibility. Let it be so.

If you want to create real change with our government, demonstrate, boycott, picket, march, protest, support the resistance or make alliances, the best time of the year to do it is yet to come! Join the elemental flow to support the outcome you want with the vote on November 3rd.

Five Agents and Agency

Based on Wu Xing, when we talk about the “elements” we are actually talking about movements or processes rather than static entities. Sometimes the Five Elements are called the Five Agents. The takeaway here is that each one of us represents an element, therefore, we have agency. Each of us does a process that is part of a bigger process. This cycle doesn’t work, or even exist, without all Five Elements.

To interpret Wu Xing in the context of the Fire Horse year bazi, start with the birthday of course, then use your Hsia calendar to lay out the Four Pillars and identify the day stem. The Hidden Heavenly Stems for each of the branches are at the bottom of the chart. They are key to understanding clash and all other relationships, timing and forecasting.

The model I chose for this divination uses Hidden Heavenly Stems and the relationship of the year pillar and month pillars. That’s all I have to say about that. If the nuts and bolts of divination with Bazi are of interest to you, study with me! What I will be sharing here is that the right time, meaning the time for maximum action, is near.

The Power of Yin

What are the Four Pillars of the Fire Horse year? Let’s take a look.

The day stem of the year chart represents all of us and in this solar year of the horse it’s 己 yin Earth. 己 is capable of generating ten thousand things. Yin Earth is made up of particles that accumulate, like topsoil maybe. Together the particles become more than their sum. The strength of 己 is in the numbers. The process of Earth is piling up to support us with every step.

Since it’s the day stem, that means we read everything in the chart from the perspective of 己. One reason I’ve included the Hidden Heavenly Stems is so that you can see what element is missing from the chart. Can you see which one? It’s 水 Water. It’s missing but not Void.

From the perspective of 己 yin Earth (humans) this is a problem because right now Water is our success element and it’s missing. Water also represents our money element this year – need I say more? We will have to wait for Water to arrive through timing. Water season starts in the Pig month (early November), but remember, it’s just not that strong this year. Luckily there are other agents available for us to lean on!

Go With The Flow

Meanwhile, knowing this, we can harness the element that is strong and ask for its help, accelerating change. We can saddle up this most yang time of year and ride it until it turns into yin. I know when I start sounding like this, it’s time to say less. This isn’t something I can explain with logic, you know, the T’ao that can be spoken of is not the T’ao. 🙃 The less I try to explain, the better. We could discuss it in person though.

What I’m saying is that we can work with the Fire of the year to move us forward, creating momentum, solidifying new alliances and relationships. Fire makes it risky, but without the assistance of the Fire, this proposition could be too risky. The potential for burnout is high, but if enough of us agree to work together, for a brief time this year it could be possible to significantly remove the influence of Water on the Fire. When?

The bazi of the Fire Horse can tell us when the brakes are off, that is, the time when Water will not be able to control Fire. It will be a point where Fire can bring us to a level ground, and afterward to a point of starting over again with Metal (governing bodies). Remember this is a process. Every agent counts.

The Window

As I said, this is a process, so it’s helpful to know when to focus our actions. It’s not possible to sustain the kind of attention that is needed indefinitely. Resting comes after the window closes – or a little earlier for some. Know your limits.

The 酉 Rooster month this year (September 7th – October 8th) is a month of recuperation. Take some time for that if you need it.

Concentrate your resistance actions with special attention to making alliances within this timing:

June 5th – September 24th 2026

This is the time where our actions can have the most impact. It’s a big window within which to act, so fit in where you can. To narrow it down to shorter periods within the big window, these are the pockets of the most supportive energy for teaming up:

June 17th – June 24th
July 20th – August 18th
August 22nd – September 18th

After August 17th there’s a fresh start for those who can push past the burnout. Try to keep intense focus on working together until September 18th.

Caution: September 19th-September 24th carries a less stable energy. It’s more chaotic; something like big gains or big losses and not much in between.

*The USA is founded on Water/Fire conflict in the form of people with lighter skin oppressing or enslaving indigenous people and people with darker skin. The pattern expanded to include other countries, then any other vulnerable group, eventually – all of us.

Bazi of Benjamin Netanyahu

It Ain’t Over ’til It’s Over

It’s April 1st 2026 and the people want to know…is Benjamin Netanyahu alive? Was he injured in a recent missile attack? To give you a quick answer, I don’t think he’s dead; injured maybe but not dead. He has some special protections from the Moon this year.

I checked his bazi for answers, then for confirmation I asked the Yi Jing. I won’t go into detail about what hexagram I cast here and how it changed, that’s the kind of thing I share in my Monthly Guide only. We’ll be discussing this topic in the Monthly Meetup on Saturday.

That said, in the spirit of the Water Dragon month I’m pushing the boat out and sharing what I wrote about Netanyahu more widely. I’m taking a big risk to share my interpretations with you. If I turn out to be wrong, hopefully it makes for a good story! A little embarrassment never killed anyone.

Down the Rabbit Hole

Benjamin Netanyahu may still be alive and an unknown third party (not Trump) is helping him stay that way. I think he had a very close call or was injured on the night of March 1st and one person who was with him was killed. He had miraculous good luck and is now hiding. He doesn’t mind the sacrifices that need to be made for his goals, however it will be the sacrifice of other lives – not his. He may not even be in Israel right now.

Some people think Netanyahu was killed in a missile strike on March 11th, but not me. I think that day l’il Donnie found out Bibi was still alive and was told to keep his mouth shut or deal with the consequences (exposure?).

The rumors of Netanyahu’s death may have already been part of a strategy to protect him in a situation like this. It wouldn’t make sense for Netanyahu to fly around in the Wing of Zion now would it? Presumably that’s why it’s still parked in Germany, or so the story goes. He’s a target. There’s a lot of chaos around him.

We may be seeing AI videos of Netanyahu but that doesn’t mean he’s dead. Most likely he cancelled events and “played dead” in order to not show up where he is expected. Remember, his year is Ox and he is in a Tiger fate.* He got pinned down in the Tiger month. Now the Dragon month is near and further destruction seems imminent.

An Expert on Terrorism

The Fire Tiger in his Life House and Big Fate point us back to the very important year of 1986 when Netanyahu was the UN Ambassador representing Israel. That was the year he published Terrorism: How the West Can Win. In his book, he describes terrorism as “systematic and deliberate” targeting of civilians for the purpose of achieving political goals. He is an expert on terrorism, preventing and perpetrating. His Fire Tiger Big Fate began in 2023, the year he began his mission to level Gaza. He started on October 7 2023. I believe it was planned. Fire is what he does.

I mention this because it seems Benjamin came to this time and place to learn about Fire and the Fire penalty. One of the main themes of the Fire Penalty is being cast out, or cast adrift. He has a fear of that and so he does it to others: get them before they get you. I’m not saying he is correct, just how I imagine he feels.

Netanyahu wrote a book about the Fire Penalty as terrorism, but the Fire Penalty often appears in the context of cults or what people call high control groups. He has been the leader of this type of group for a very long time.

We are about to enter the month of the Water Dragon on April 5th…he’s definitely under pressure from his so called friends. The problem with the Water Dragon (for him) is that it extinguishes his Fire. There are going to be limits on what he can do.

Benjamin Netanyahu was born under a partial solar eclipse. Maybe the regular “rules” of fate aren’t as strong for him?

A Pattern of Penalties

In the Wood Snake year, in the Monkey month of August 2025, it looks like Benjamin had to make a big decision. This was a peak Fire Penalty month for him. What he did was the same as proposing a game of chicken with the rest of the world. Uh oh – for him I mean. This was when he made his “final proposal for victory” which meant nothing would really end. I don’t think most people understood what he meant. I think they are starting to understand now.

Benjamin Netanyahu participates in the Fire Penalty in very literal ways. He is part of a triangle. Since 2023 there’s always an unseen third party involved in the deal he is seen making with someone else. He is always looking for a higher bidder.

Current timing means the Fire penalty is active for him, certainly in the 寅 Tiger (February), 巳 Snake (May) and 申 Monkey (August) months. This makes 亥 Pig an important secret player in Netanyahu’s bazi this year. I don’t think the Pig is a solution for him though. I think it represents the sacrifice he is willing to make – the people of Israel.

Output is What You Do

As a yang Wood day master, we could say the Fire penalty is what he does. He made great strides with his goals in the Snake year. Fire may also be hastening his demise.

I don’t know for sure if he is alive or dead, but what I do know is that Benjamin Netanyahu is a player when it comes to the Bullying Punishment. It’s how he makes his money.

Being born in an 丑 Ox year, and in a 戌 Dog month means all he needs is a 未 Sheep to complete the Earth Punishment and it’s coming in the Sheep month (July), and in 2027. It’s interesting to me that the punishment seems linked to his cancer. Of note as well – the Sheep clashes his Ox and is void for him. It will be hard for him to find someone to take him in if/when he does need assistance.

Netanyahu has typically followed Earth (money), he’s a land grabber as you can see. Wood controls Earth. Metal is his power element but he prefers money most. If he keeps using power he will run out of money. Fingers crossed.

One of the best months of the year for the Rat. If you need to travel, take advantage now. Do any thing you want to be good at. You don’t have to be good at it already.
Hint: Working alone means no profit sharing. Teaming up means everyone gets more. What’s your pleasure?

丑 Ox

Month: January roughly.
You might be on the receiving end of the breakup, or you might tell yourself you are. If you told yourself the story of it, you might realize it is what you wanted too.
Hint: There’s a gift here amidst all the emotions, truth in details. It’s not wrong to be relieved.

寅 Tiger

Month: February roughly.
Tigers see openings to acquire property or other wealth. They will be presented with urgency. Maybe you already have some thoughts about how to carry out a big success?

卯 Rabbit

Month: March roughly.
Much of the action of the year already happened last month. Maybe all the rest is about how you handle the changes that presented themselves then.

Chinese Astrology Monthly Meetup

It looks like the Water Dragon month (most of April) is going to be a dynamic month…and that’s why you would want to join us for the Monthly Meetup on Saturday April 4th. That’s one day before we begin the month of the Water Dragon. This clash of Water and Fire could be very dramatic and… interesting.

When your Chinese Astrologer says “interesting”, they might be using it in the sense I have heard my Chinese teachers say it. What do I mean? If they like you, they wouldn’t wish you an interesting year.

Seemingly without regard to our human intentions and wishes, Fate goes on. Seemingly.

What will we talk about? The Guide is the usual jumping off point for discussion. For the Water Dragon month possible topics include: the monthly hexagram, bazi of Benjamin Netanyahu, 魁罡 Kui Gang Pillars, proprioception, risk takers and deep rollers, graveyards, storages, the 浮沉 Instability star, who is lucky and who is challenged…

Whatever you’re working on, there’s a theme that keeps coming up that I want to share with you. I think we might all be tempted to stop our work early in the Dragon month. I’d think twice about that if I were you. By work I mean the personal, not necessarily your job.

Month: July roughly.
The number of advantages you have this month reminds me of a mountain goat on a cliff. It seems to defy gravity, but somehow their little hoofs can cling to the tiniest ledge. Friends are here.
